Changes to Wakakirri Categories for 2011
1. Story-Telling will NO longer be part of the Wakakirri Festival from 2011. Unfortunately due to the low level of interest in this competition over the past 5 years, a decision has been made to remove it from the Wakakirri program. Schools wishing to explore drama and acting in their class are encouraged to enter the Story-Film competition and come to see their film on the big screen at a red carpet event.
2. Schools wishing to enter Story-Singing will no longer be required to perform their songs live at a Wakakirri venue. Instead, a recording will need to be sent to Wakakirri on an audio CD and/or uploaded as an MP3 directly to the Wakakirri website. Schools can make option video clips to accompany their Story-Singing entries. Read more here.
